The House That Kept Our Names

When their grandmother Vivienne dies, architectural conservator Simone Bellamere and her sister Camille return to the family house in Louisiana — the house that kept their names. As the sisters face the practical and emotional work of an inheritance, their mother's long absence resurfaces, a cousin raised outside the family arrives, and a presence that borrows familiar voices tests every promise the Bellameres ever made. An original Black Gothic saga of love, loss, sisterhood and inherited gifts.

The Unfinished Song

The summer after their grandmother's funeral, Simone and Camille Bellamere follow an unfinished song into the family's own past. A loose page of music, a handwritten copy and a recording older than anyone can place pull the sisters, their cousin Julian and young Théo through the working lives of Estelle and Vivienne and the childhoods of Hélène and Claire — while the rules of who may speak, sing or sign a name are quietly rewritten around them. What the family recovers is testimony, not magic: the human authorship of a song, and the cost of the silence that kept it.
